Thermoplastic elastomer TPE/TPR is also named synthetic rubber. Their products exhibit the high elasticity of traditional cross-linking vulcanized rubber, aging resistance and oil resistance. At the same time, they have the advantages of ordinary plastics processing and easy to process. TPE can be produced by injection molding, extrusion, blow molding and other processing methods. The thermoplastic elastomer TPE/TPR material have become the latest materials to replace traditional rubber, because they can simplify processing and reduce processing costs. The thermoplastic elastomer can also replace the rubber to modified a large number of general thermoplastic resin such as PVC, PE, PP, PS, and even use modification of PU, PA and other engineering plastics. The plastics industry will appear a new prospect.In this paper, multi-monomer grafting technology was selected to functionalize POE, POE-g-(MAH-co-St) and POE-g-(GMA-co-St) were prepared with the method and many factors such as monomer content, DCP content were studied as well as grafting product determined and tested by FTIR. We prepared the thermoplastic elastomers and blended POE-g-(MAH-co-St) with PA6, POE-g-(GMA-co-St) with PBT and SEBS-g-MAH with PA6. We studied the ratio of graft elastomers content and plastic components to investigate the effect of three factors on mechanical properties, processing performance and innteral morphology. The aim is to obtain the blends which easy to process and with good properties of both groups.The experimental results showed that, St improved the grafting efficiency as a comonomer. The elastomers and thermoplastic blends are excellent and easy processing. Tensile strain can still reach more than600%, the breaking strength up to more than twice that of traditional one-component elastomer material. POE-g-(MAH-co-St)/PA6blends have good aging resistance. POE/POE-g-(GMA-co-St)/PBT blends have good compatibility with the particle diameter of0.5-1μm. When the content of PA6is20-30%, tensile strain can reach to600-800%, and the strength is about17MPa. The blends have low permanent deformation and the least tensile elongation is114%.
