The feed system, the dynamic characteristics of which has important influence on the processing accuracy of the lathe, is one important component of the High-speed CNC lathe CK7516GS.Therefore the feed system is employed in this present thesis, Virtual Prototyping technology, Finite Element Method and Dynamic tests of three methods are adopted sequentially to study the static and dynamic characteristics.The main contents in this present thesis are stated as follws:1. According to the multi-body system dynamics theory and VP technology, the multi-rigid model and rigid-flexible coupling model are established by ANSYS and ADAMS software. Furthermore, the dynamic simulations are carried out under the multiple-loading conditions such as the cutting simulation, the fast-moving simulation and the cutting-stability simulation.2. The feed system is meshed by HyperMesh software and the dynamic model of the joints in the feed system is established. All joints are substituted with link-element combin14, and then the values of stiffness K and damping C of which are calculated by the integral method.3. The static and dynamic analyses, which are based on key components and the whole feed system, are calculated and analyzed respectively via FEM. The static stiffness, natural frequencies and modal shapes are obtained to verify whether the static stiffness and dynamic stiffness of the feed system meet the design requirements.4. Based on the forced-vibration principle, the operational modal tests are implemented by Signal-input and Multi-Output Method under multiple-loading conditions, such as High Motorized spindle unload running tests, the feed system unload feeding tests and the cutting tests. Moreover, dynamic tests, is a more effective way to evaluate the dynamic characteristics of the feed system, is applied to check whether the FEM model is correct and reasonable.The study in this present thesis provides an effective theoretical and applicable basis, which can be taken advantage to design and optimize the structure of the High-speed CNC lathe CK7516GS. The analysis method adopted in this paper can be referenced and promoted in the dynamic analysis of machine tool products.
