The concept of quasi-flowing field detection method proposed by the academician He Jishan has been widely used in water conservancy engineering. The technology of cross well quasi-flowing field detection is a new attempt for the hydrous ability and water flowing ability of the cross-well researches in recent years. The results of measured data analysis show that quasi-flowing field method, to a certain extent, reflects the electrical properties of the cross-well stratum, can indirectly infer the existence of some water contact relationships (for example, among coal-bearing strata and limestone strata), and then provide the reference for determining the complementary relationship of water between the wells. This paper expounds the basic principle of quasi-flowing field detection method, compares the similarity of the flowing field and current field, and on this basis introduces the cross well quasi-flowing field detecting technology, introduces the development of ANSYS and general steps of using ANSYS software for finite element analysis, and then builds forward modeling based on the quasi-flowing field detecting, compares the simulation results of different electrode(mainly potential electrode and gradient electrode),through the application of the Concealed tectonic belt in GuGui ore, checks out the supply situation for the lower limestone aquifer to upper coal formation, provides the basis for the safety of coal mining, also points the problems and areas in need of improvement in quasi-flowing field detecting.
