Bauxites are the important mineral resources in china, in recent years, as China’s open mining of bauxite resources are reduce gradually, underground mining of bauxite has become an inevitable trend. However, most deposits of the deeply buried bauxite resources are sedimentary deposit. The nether roof of Ore body is usually shale, carbon shale or sandy clay rock, etc, this type of roof is unstable, in order to ensure the safety, it needs to leave more ore pillar to support roof, therefore, the ore loss sometimes is as high as30% above, it not only cause the bauxite resources waste, but also increase the production cost, shorten the mining service years, and go against the mine’s sustainable development. So carried out the research that how to increase bauxite resources recovery in the conditions of unstable roof is the needs of the industry.This papers was based on the project of chinalco chongqing800kt/a of alumina, and carried out technology research about reducing the loss under unstable roof. According to the characteristics of chongqing branch’s bauxite resources, we borrowed ideas from the coal mine and other nonferrous metal mining, put forward the idea of using hydraulic support to improve the rate of extraction rate. In the wide investigation of domestic and foreign similar mining. we used the method of field investigation the field test、numerical simulation and theoretical analysis, by means of modern ANSYS finite element numerical platform to analysis the roof stability, and obtained change rule and test stope hydraulic supporting parameters of deformation field in reliable test period, it improved the recovery rate, and achieved similar stope mining safety geological conditions.This topic had many innovations, first, it formed the technology and technical parameters by using hydraulic monomer equipment for temporary support in the underground mining and improved the recovery of underground mining bauxites; Second, through monitoring technology in the stope ground pressure and numerical analysis technology, it insured the dependence between hydraulic temporary support and stope cover caving time, and explored the ground pressure control technology of underground bauxite mining in chongqing branch.After carrying out This topic, the mine recovery rate increased7%and increased the service life of mine. The test successfully proof that it not only can improve the recovery rate, prolong the service life of mine by using the hydraulic monomer equipment temporary support, but also offer the reference and technical support for the exploitation of the same deposits.And it still can fill blank on appropraite underground mining bauxite of our country, realizes safety, efficient, high recovery rate, low cost,it hada a higher practical significance.
