With the higher demands on the car lightweight and crash safety, the hot stamping technology of ultra high strength steel will be applied more widely. Research on hot stamping have been carried out in Europe countries, but just start in China.A hot stamping test system is developed, expriment and simulation work is carried out in this research. The main works are listed as follows:1Developped a temperature measurement system. A high sensitivity K-type thermocouple was made by ourself. Based on the Labview software, maxium14signals can be acquired by the NI4351card.2Developped a stamping die with flexible cooling system. The cooling system can be modified by adjusted by some swithes on the cooling pipes. Expriment in different cooling system can be carrid out.3Hot forming experiments were carried out. The temperature of sheet and die was measured. The test results can be used to verify the results of simulation.4Hot forming simulation were carried out. A thermal-mechanical model coupled with solid-liqued was build. Preliminary simulation was done based on the data of the hot stamping test.Deep research will be carried out using the test system and simulation method based on the works above.
