Fire-resistant coating for tunnel is good for tunnel fire protection, thatenhancing the fire resistance of the tunnel structure, and the constructon is simple,economical and practical. Now there are a lot of achievement on the fire-resistantcoating for tunnel at home and abroad. It is the priority and goal to how to enhancethe fire resistance and bond strength of the fire retardant coating on the tunnel.To the poor fire resistance and adhesion of the coating, we selected the rawmaterials through the analysis of the fire retardant mechanism of the fire-resistantcoating. At the same time, we analyzed the impact of the fire resistance and bondstrength on the component of the coating with the help of the orthogonal test. And wealso get the improved formulation of the coating. In addition, mixed with differentamount of binder, filler, foam and fire retardant, we discussed the impact of the fireresistance and bongding strength by change the amount of the various components ofthe fire retardant coating on tunnel. Then wo determined the optimum dosage of eachcomponent, and finally we get the best formulation of the fire-resistant coating ontunnel.By a serious of system research and analysis, we made the following majorachievements.(1)Disscussed the flame retardant mechanism of the non-expansion and theintumescent fire retardant coating. The int umescent fire retardant coating preventburning by the interaction of: rely on their own flame resistance, non-flammable, lowthermal conductivity, to form a protective layer on the surface of the coating, theendothermic reaction, changing the course of t hermal decomposition, preventing thechainreaction with combustion and decomposition of non-combustible inert gas.(2)Analysied the effect of the fire resistance and bond strength by the variouscomponents of the fire retardant paint on tunnel. Filler took the greatest impact on thefire resistance of the tunnel fire-resistant coating, followed by flame retardants, andthe order was: fill≥flame retardants≥binder≥foam material. However, thebiggest influence on adhesion on coat was binder, followed by fil ler, the order was:binder≥filler≥foam materials≥flame retardants.(3)Increasing the amount of the filler, flame retardant and foam material canimprove the fire resistance of the fire-resistant coating on tunnel, when taking a amount of the binder.(4)The more amount of binder, the higher bond stuength on the tunnelfire-resistant coating.(5)Adding redispersible power can increase the bond strength of coating.(6)Filler has a significant effect on the fire resistance and bongding properties ofthe tunnel fire-resistant coating. The fire performance of the coating will improvewith the increase of the filler content, but the bongd strength will reduce.When thefiller content is35%to50%, there is a good fire performance and bongding.(7)Foam material has a major impact on the performance of the tunnel fireretardant coating. The fire resistance of the coating increases with the increase offoam material, but the bond strength decreases with the increase in the amount offoam material.(8)Flame retardant as a major impact on the performance of the tunnel fireretardant coating. The fire resistance of the coating increases with the increase offlame retardant, but has little effect on the bond strength.(9)The tunnel fire-resistant coating developed in this paper has fire insulationperformance, high bond strength, excellent water resistance, non-toxic and tastelesssecurity features.
