Modern machine tools are toward to the high-speed and high precision direction development, its dynamic performance requirements have become more sophisticated. So the dynamic analysis of the machine tools is particularly important. The main work of the paper is as follows:The basic principles of the dynamic analysis of machine tools are analyzed.And the basic theory, methods, procedures and specific implementations of the finite element dynamic analysis model and the experimental kinetic model based on the existing literature. The reasons of the existing error on the machine tool dynamic model using two methods are summed up. It is necessary to evaluate the correctness of the model.The accuracy assessment methods of the finite element model of machine tool-model correlation analysis, the main criterion of correlation analysis on the model is theoretically analyzed. The important issues involved in correlation analysis of the model-dynamic model of condensation and expansion are explored theoretically.Finite element correcting methods of machine tool structure are analyzed, and the correction methods based on frequency response function and modal parameters model are theoretically analyzed. Surface parameter identification correction method in the modal parameter correction method is introduced in particular.The finite element model and experimental model are estimated according to the Ultra-precision grinding machines SL500respectively. The main parameters of joint surface are identified by using experimental modal analysis methods, and they will be applied in the finite element model amendment. The correctness of the finite element model correlation is assessed based on relevant criteria of the modal frequencies and mode shapes. The results show that the revised model has better accuracy than before.
