Throughout the manufacturing, machinery manufacturing industry occupies a particularly important place. To adapt to the needs of national economic development, modern machine tool are developing forward to high-speed, high-precision and automation. The study of advanced manufacturing equipment is an extremely important aspect of state-of-the-art manufacturing technology research.The hard cutting technology is an advanced cutting technology then turning or milling of high hardness metal materials, as a advanced processing way to replace the grinding, more and more attention has been paid. There is a great gap between the domestic hard cutting machine tool performance with foreign countries’. In this paper, from the point of the hard-cutting machine tools to study hard cutting technology. This article design a hard-cutting machine tool Refers foreign countries’ hard cutting machine tools, research focus on machine rigidity, load capacity and vibration resistance. So hydrostatic bearing technology were adopted to improve the dynamic performance on this machine tool including hydrostatic guide way technology and hydrostatic motor spindle.The design of this hard-cutting machine tools, from the artificial marble bed to the hydrostatic guide to the hydrostatic spindle form a rigid chain which is the ideal choice for high rigidity and high vibration resistance machine. This article also pays attention to the analysis of the design of the machine, combined with the finite element software ANSYS, dynamics finite element model of the machine tool were established to analyze the dynamic stiffness of the lathe tool point. This paper from hard cutting machine mechanical structure design to the dynamic characteristics of the machine tool structure analysis, the main contents are as follows:(1) Overall mechanical structure design to hard cutting lathe. Reference to foreign professional hard-cutting machine tools, the layout of the moving parts and the layout of machine tool bed-guide way, drive feed system design, including screw, rail, motor selection, the electrical spindle of the key structural design. (2) Theoretically calculate the bearing stiffness of the hydrostatic spindle and analyzes the dynamic characteristics of the hydrostatic spindle. Structural design to the hydrostatic guideway and optimize the design the designing parameters with orthogonal test to arrive at a more reasonable set of hydrostatic guide way design parameters.(3) Theoretical calculate the junction stiffness of ball screws, roller guides and Rolling, the establish the dynamics model of them. Thus establish the dynamic model of the machine tool using software ANSYS, modal analysis and harmonic response analysis to the whole machine tool, by comparing the machine in two different damping harmonic response curve obtained hydrostatic guideway damping significantly the effect of attenuating the vibration of the machine tool.
