Preparation Of Ionic Liquids And Their Application As Stationary Phase In Gas Chromatography

In the paper, two kinds of ionic liquids were synthesised.They were poly-1-(2-hydroxy)propyl-benzimidazole hexafluorphosphate and poly-1-vinyl-3-(3-trihydroxySlan)propyl-imidazole hexafluorphosphate.Both of the ionic liquids were characterized by infraredspectrum,and reaction conditions were optimized.The relative polarities were determine as+3and+4.Both of them as stationary phase were made into packed columns for gaschromatography,conditioned at different temperatures.The resolution for acetone andnaphthalene mixture indicate that both of the two ionic liquids had little effect after condi-tioned at different temperatures. There were good stability of liquid mem-brane.[PECHBIm][PF6] and [PVPMSIM][PF6] exhibited satisfactory resolution andchromatographic selectivity for acetone and alcohols mixture, aromatics mixture and alkanemixture.By the separation of aromatics mixture on [PECHBIm][PF6] column,the standardcurve of peak area and concentration was producted. As a result，the performance ofquantitative analysis for [PECHBIm][PF6] column was determined.
