Monolithic catalyst has distingushed advantages in small pressure drop of packed bed, lower mass-transfer resistances, unremarkable scaling-up effect and so on, there is an anamorphour silica with perforation pore that was developed in high performance of liquidchromatography. The material have lagre specific surface area, and its shape is determined bymould, so the material could be applied in catalyst. In this paper there are two parts of researches. First is preparation of the carrier. Themonolithic material is prepared by the sol-gel process with ethylsilicate as silica source;polyethylene glycol as phase separation; nitricacid as catalyst. Add aluminum nitrate. Thesamples are characterized by SEM, BET, FT-IR and so on. Second, make the copper basecatalyst. The CuO-ZnO catalyst and CuO-ZnO-ZrO2catalyst are prepared by the immersionmethod. The catalyst is researched in different reaction temperature, weight hourly spacevelocity, pressure by the fixed-bet plug flow reactor on the reaction of carbon dioxidehydrogenation. The resuit showed:(1) The optimal experiment conditions are found. Water bath temperature is45℃;normal temperature dry3-5days, roasting600℃, can make the silica-alumina monolithicmaterial. The macropores size is3-53-5μm and the mesopores is35-41nm.(2) For the two kind of copper base catalyst, reaction of the overall is: in the220℃-260℃, the yield increases with in temperature; in1.5Mpa-2.5Mpa, pressure is beneficial to thereacyion; and space velocity on hydrogenation of carbon dioxide methanol reaction effect.(3) The adding of additives ZrO2increase the activity of the catalyst. Under220-260℃,2.0Mpa, WHSV=2100h-1, the catalytic activity of CuO-ZnO-ZrO2catalyst is better thanCuO-ZnO catalyst.
