Tobacco sheet could be a good alternative to ordinary tobacco as a recombinanttobacco. Tobacco sheet with the method of papermaking which becomes themainstream technology in the production of tobacco has the advantages ofhigh-quality, low cost, and tar harm reduction. With the increasing demand fortobacco sheet, the traditional thin slices of raw materials showing a trend in shortsupply, so it has become a new task in the tobacco field to seek new materials toreplace the traditional raw materials.Licorice residue as an extract of medicinal ingredients, and there is no reasonableuse mostly as feeding or landfill, etc., has not yet been fully used in the tobacco field.In this research physical and chemical analysis were put up first using licorice residueas the tobacco sheet material, comparing chemical composition and fiber structuralcharacteristics between licorice residue and tobacco stems, and the feasibility oftobacco sheet material with licorice residue was initially identified.By orthogonal experiments the influence of dipping conditions on licoriceresidue rate of yield and process for the residue of pulp yield and rate of crude residueand beating degree of impact were analyzed. The impregnation and grinding processconditions were optimized as follows: temperature of70℃, impregnated with liquidratio of1:8, the impregnation time of80min, two-stage refining and refiner gap of0.40mm and0.20mm; Paper-based were made of licorice residue with optimizeimpregnation and refining process and different quantitative. The best physicalproperties of paper-based for quantitative of70g/m~2were detected as follows: loosethickness、tensile strength and burning rate were4.46cm~3/g and the,0.212kN/m and0.75mm/s; The best quality of the cigarettes with the proportion of20%was showedin the sensory evaluation mixing licorice residue with tobacco.Choose cationic guar gum and three kinds of chitosan with different molecular weight. It was studied on the dynamic treatment of licorice residue slurry, one-wayretention, Zeta potential and the beating degree of pulp by adding varying amounts ofdifferent additives. The results showed that: chitosan slurry of licorice residueretention and drainage effect is stronger than the cationic guar gum, and high degreeof deacetylation of chitosan optimize better; Slurry system of retention and drainagewas best with the average content of0.4%of2#chitosan; Through detection ofphysical properties of paper-based adding four kinds of different amounts of additivesthe results showed that additives could increase the bulk of the substrate and reducethe tensile strength. Comprehensive properties were better the average content of0.4%of2#chitosan such as the high loose thickness of4.74cm3/g,suitable burningrate and the smaller negative impact of properties of paper-based.
