Bearing dust cover was fixed in one of the rings or gaskets of the bearingand extending to the other ring or gasket as to shield the interior space. Thedust cover used in machinery equipment was made through stamping thinsheet metal. In the stamping process, the rupture will direct affect the qualityof the dust cover, even caused the production uselessness. High-precisionminiature bearings with high requirement for dimension, form and positionaspects. Bearing dust cover with small dimension in structure, and the processwas difficult, and the need for mold design and manufacture was high, inparticular, it was very important to grasp the design procedure.Dynaform software can predict rupture, wrinkling, and spring back of thesheet in the forming process, and can reduce the time in mold developmentperiod greatly, recently this software was widely applied.In this paper, firstly estimated the size of the blank of KZ1-4.5dust coverusing Dynaform, compared the result with theoretical value, and comparedthe utilization of the materials under two different nesting. Presented the bestformability parameters of the two processes for the part. Then optimized thedesign parameters of the part, analysis the results in detail, fitted the resultswith originPro8, last gave a way of improvement, changed the original filletradius from0.8mm to1.2mm, the results showed that when BHF was4240N,the parts presented good formability.
