In our previous work, Gas-Liquid equilibrium (GLE) data for thebinary systems of {CO+DMC} and {O2+DMC} were respectively measuredat298.15–313.15K and at2.0–9.0MPa. In this work, the modifiedUNIFAC model proposed by Sander et al. was employed to correlate theseexperimental data mentioned above and literature GLE data in a wide rangeof temperatures and pressures. Besides, the literature GLE data for thesystem {CO2+DMC} were also correlated by this model. The missingenergy parameters unmof the carbonate group–OCOO–with the gases CO2,CO, O2and the group–CH3in modified UNIFAC model were determinedsimultaneously. It is indicated that the calculated GLE data using the newUNIFAC parameters are in consistent with the experimental GLE data inthis work and in literature. In addition, a suggestion for modification of theUNIFAC model mentioned above was also presented and discussed in thiswork.
