Mineral resources are rich in our country, the exploitation ofresources can drive the development of national economy, but it also willdamage the geological environment of mining area inevitably. If we donot deal it, may cause geological disasters such as landslides, collapseand people’s lives and property may be threatened seriously. Therefore, mine slope stability analysis and landslide control methods is particularlyimportant. Combined with the high steep slope at an Opencast Mine, previous studies have been summarized in this paper, theoretical analysisand calculation and numerical simulation are both used. Stability anddeformation characteristics of the area before and after the slopereinforcement were analyzed. The main contents include bellow:(1)Commonly used slice method are discussed in detail on the actualproject, including Swedish Method, Bishop Method, Janbu Method. The strength reduction finite element method and its application inABAQUS are summarize verb.(2) Research of site analysis and engineering geological informationof the high steep slope at an Opencast Mine, Analysis of the presentsituation of the slope, made all aspects of physical parameters, for thesubsequent research provides the basis.(3)Combined with the engineering geological condition in thisregion, stereographic projection analysis of two typical slopes are carriedout, and the rigid body limit equilibrium analysis of slopes are conductedby the circular arc sliding method and the line sliding method. In the natural and saturated conditions the overall and localbuckling modes are calculated, and the slope safety factor is obtainedwhich can provide a basis for risk prediction and reinforcement.Prestressed cable anchoring system is discussed in this paper, accordingto the optimal decision analysis principle, the angle between the horizontal plane and the anchor can be acquired. And basedon Bishop Slice method, the reinforced slope stability is analyzed, comprehensive comparison of the results can provide parameters andbasis for finite element simulation.(4)With the finite element simulation software, strength reductioncombined with rock elastoplastic, the reduction factor is defined asthe field variables, based on the Mohr-Coulomb failure criterion, themodel are built for slope stability limit equilibrium analysis. Bycalculating the safety factor and comparing with the theoretical solution, the feasibility of the model can be verified. Then by analyzingthe stress-strain state, displacement, and slip line of two typical slopes, two sets of slope deformation characteristics can be got. Contrasttheoretical solution, the feasibility of prestressed cable with lattice beamstructure to reinforce the slope can be verified and it will provide areference for the slope reinforcement works and stability analysis in thisarea in the future.
