Slope stability problem has always been one of the hotspots in the mining engineeringin China, it’s also a basic project since sufficient attention problems must be paid to. Withthe rapid development of the national economy, our country needs to build a lot ofinfrastructure in every area. the slope has been widely used in these projects, whichnecessarily involves the problem of slope stability. In order to evaluate the stability ofslope analysis correctly, the safety coefficient of slope stability, an important indicator tomeasure the degree of safety of the slope stability, which requires reasonable selected. Andthe process to evaluate it is a very important and hard work.For a long time, the slopestability research has been hot and difficult problems of the engineering sector andacademia.Stone slope of the southern, the East tip slope of the Bayan Obo West Mine, is used tobe the research object of the paper, it focuses on the study of the mechanical parameters ofrock mass after a reduction of safety factor of slope stability and the slope stability underthe action of earthquake, combined with the large finite element analysis software ANSYS.The rock mechanical parameters of the study are attained from on-site sampling andlaboratory mechanical experiments, what is more, other geological data liking waveformand wave velocity of earthquake vibration and blasting vibration are collected as well.Thefinite element strength reduction analysis of reduction theory is applied to the slopestability of Bayan Obo West Mine based on ANSYS finite element technology, rockcohesion, internal friction angle and other parameters of slope stability safety coefficient isobtained in the reduction. The post-processing of finite element results can determine therock slope in the critical state of stress, strain and displacement by. Reducing the slope ofrock and soil material parameters and determining the finite element convergence can getwhether the slope is in stable state or not. And the finite element calculation results, thedistribution of contour of the plastic strain in the plastic zone, can determine the most dangerous slip surface position of the slope. Making finite element analysis could directlyobtain the slope engineering analysis indicator: safety coefficient values. The slope finiteelement dynamic time history response analysis is made on this basis to draw on thedisplacement of the particle vibration conditions slope, velocity, acceleration changes fordiscrimination slope stability of the entire state, and give the cause of the main factors ofslope instability, finally reasonably practicable and improved methods and measures areput forwardThe topic for the Bayan Obo the West Mine Slope is beneficial for planning andfuture governance, it can not also provide a reliable basis for the selected area with themain East Mine Slope very similar, the results of their research are in favor of the dailyproduction and security management of Bayan Obo West Mine, but also benefit for theother open metal mines learning.
