Land ecological security is an important part of ecological security,accurate knowledge of the land ecological security status and itsdevelopment trend has become an important part of the study ofsustainable development, and is also an important basis for analyzingthe land ecological security environment, forecasting and earlywarning of land ecological security and land use planning andconstruction.Tangshan is located in the Bohai Sea economic circle andis an important industrial city in northern China. Tangshan is currentlyfacing urban transformation, impacted by the earthquake,development of mineral resources and heavy chemical industry, landecological environment is fragile and degraded. In this context,studying the land ecological security problems in Tangshan City isnecessary to provide a scientific basis for the rational use of landresources and land use planning for Tangshan City, and provideimportant support for policy implementation and decision-makingproblems.On the basis of previous research and P-S-R model, and fullyunderstood the natural environment,the pattern of social andeconomic development, ecological and environmental status ofTangshan City, this paper built a land ecological security assessmentindex system of resource-based city, including three criteria, sevenelements and26indicators. This paper used mean variance method tocalculate the weight of each indicator, and used the composite indexmethod to calculate the integrated value of land ecological security,evaluated and analyzed the land ecological security situation ofTangshan City from2003to2008, based on the results, put forward landecological security countermeasures and suggestions from theperspective of promoting sustainable use of land resources and maintenance of ecological safety.The conclusions of this article included the following aspects:(1)The land ecological security value of Tangshan City, in additionto a slight decline in2005, showed an overall upward trend year afteryear, from2003to2008, the effect is obvious. The land ecologicalsecurity value jumped to0.7166n2008from0.3157in2003, increased by127%. The land ecological security evaluation rating improved to abetter state from the sensitive state. In short, the land ecologicalsecurity situation improved a lot, and the land ecological security levelwas showing a rising trend, and it was in a more secure state.(2)In the rule layer of the land ecological security in Tangshan City,2003-2005, the pressure system safety index fell slightly, mainly due tothe load caused by population growth and human activities toecological environment has intensified in2005,2005to2008, thepressure of the system security index showed an increasing trendshowing that the load caused by the Tangshan region of humanactivities on land ecological environment weakened, the pressurestatus of the land ecosystem was in continuous improvement; Theland ecosystem state index declined from2003to2006, showed a risingtrend from2006to2008, and the state index value reached the highestin2008; from2003to2008, the response system of ecological securitylevel showed a fluctuating trend, the overall ecological safety level hasincreased, indicated that the government has had a positive responseand implemented various environmental control measures.(3)Combination of land ecological problems and ecologicalenvironment of Tangshan City, from the natural land ecological safety,socio-economic and the environment, proposed to increase thecountermeasures and suggestions of the land ecological safety inTangshan City.
