Land is the material basis for the survival and development of human society,but its limited nature is also the key issues of ecological security.However,due to the accelerating process of in urbanization and industrialization in China,the contradiction between land supply and demand has intensified and the scope of landuse has been expanding which lead to unprecedented pressure on China's land ecological security.How to effectively improve land ecological security has become an urgent task for the healthy development of society and economy,meanwhile the assessment of land ecological security is the core content of land ecological security related research.Aiming at the traditional EF model's own defects and the shortcomings of existing improvement research,this study establish and integrates three evaluation index and corresponding discriminating standards including land ecological sustainability index,output index and land ecological security index.A comprehensive evaluation model of land ecological security based on ecological footprint was constructed.The model was applied to the evaluation of land ecological security status in Linxiang City from 2005 to 2013.Taking 2013 as an example,this study conducts comparative analysis of research results by three different evaluation methods to verify the rationality and superiority of the model construction.The results show that:(1)The current “social-economic” ecological security characteristics of cultivated land,pasture and waters in Linxiang City are diversely sustainable,and the ecological security status of pasture and waters is ideal for safety.But the ecological security status of cultivated land has changed to the unsafe(II);(2)The forest land and construction land in the central and eastern areas are all in a relatively safe state,but its land utilization rate is low,and it is urgent to increase the intensification of construction land utilization and increase the utilization rate of forest land to make up for ecological losses;(3)During the study period,most of the township's “social-economic” ecological security status was better.But the comprehensive status of land ecological security are in different types and degrees of unsafe status;(4)The comprehensive evaluation model of land ecological security based on ecological footprint is more practical,rational and complete compared with the traditional EF model and the existing improved model in the evaluation of land ecological security.
