Copper-lead-zinc polymetallic sulfide ore composition is very complex, the valuable ingredients quantity has a wide range of fluctuation and various constitutions, and the disseminated particle size changes dramatically, studies on this kind of ore are always difficulties of polymetallic sulphide ores.A Cu-Pb-Zn polymetallic sulfide ore is a ultrafine-complex-disseminated, Pb partly-oxide and hard-won barite-type sulfide ore, in which the valuable metal minerals are marmatite, galena, chalcopyrite and pyrite. The most important gangue is barite and the secondary ones are quartz, chlorite and sericite.In order to extract desired minerals effectively, according to the technological mineralogy study, a series of flotation experiments are developed, including preferential copper flotation expetiments, copper-lead-zinc mixing flotation-separation experiments and coequally flotation tests. The possibilities of gravity concentration and high intensity magnetic separation are also studied. Besides, the condition tests are also developed, which contain milling size, lime amount, collector type on sorting, and so on.The results of the above-mentioned experiments show that copper, lead and zinc minerals are difficult to separate. The zinc minerals are extremely hard to inhibit that it is extremely hard to get single copper, lead and zinc concentrates. We recommend the simplified Cu-Pb-Zn mixing flotation. This flowsheet can get mixed concentrate in which Pb+Zn grade is more than50%and the recovery of the metals is high. The advantages of this flowsheet are that it is simple and it cost less and by this way the grade and recovery are high. The comprehensive recovery of barite in the flotation tailings can be further studied.The effect of disseminated relation and the solvent ions’activation fuction on flotation separation process is researched. Besides, by studying the electrochemical reaction and solution chemical process between minerals and collectors, the flotation mechanism of Cu-Pb-Zn sulphide ore is analyzed.
