Landfill leachate is the high-density organic wastewater produced in landfillprocess. Its high organic pollutants concentration, high ammonia content, andimbalance in the proportion of nutrient elements, makes the treatment a big problemin the field of environmental protection at home or abroad. On current, there is twoproblems in landfill leachate’s control: technically feasible process is not economical,and general economical process’s performance isn’t up to the treatment standard. As aresult, finding a kind of economical and effective technology to deal with landfillleachate is of great necessary. This paper conducted experimental study on Mashanlandfill leachate treatment station’s operating process in City Heshan, Guangdongprovince. The main conclusions are listed as follows:(1)The MVC Evaporation Process is the most energy-efficient technique thatremoves organic matter among all existing evaporation processes. The energy input tothe entire system only lies in the compressor motor and the small immersion heaterthat is used to keep the system stable.(2)Through the analysis on the operation and inflow in Mashan landfill leachatestation, the author finds: when the inflow’s average COD concentration, averageBOD5concentration, average TN concentration, average NH3-N concentration,average TP concentration and average SS concentration is separately5219.17mg/L,2521mg/L,497.5mg/L,338.54mg/L,5.60mg/L and491.04mg/L, the averageconcentration of the six outflow’s quality index above is respectively37.95mg/L,14.25mg/L,25.68mg/L,11.42mg/L,0.49mg/L and5.33mg/L, with the averageremoval rate of99.19%,99.34%,94.52%,96.18%,91.11%,98.89%in several. Theprocess is operating steadily, and the water quality of outflow absolutely reaches thecriterion for normal region in “Solid Waste Landfill Pollution Control Standard”(GB16889-2008), that is COD<100mg/L, BOD5<30mg/L, TN<40mg/L, NH3-N<25mg/L, TP<3mg/L, SS<30mg/L.(3)Through the analysis on cost, the author gets that the unit cost is29.52yuanper ton for landfill leachate treatment with the process of MVC Evaporation+DI IonExchange, demonstrating that it is feasible and reasonable in economy.(4)Through the analysis on the technology of MVC Evaporation+DI IonExchange Process, the author concludes that it’s appropriate for landfill leachatetreatment engineering in small scale due to the advantages such as good treatmentresult, high degree of automation, small footprint, easy operation and management. This study made comprehensive introduce and analyzed on Mashan landfillleachate treatment station’s process in City Heshan, got the conclusion that theoutflow through MVC Evaporation+DI Ion Exchange Process can be up to thecriterion for normal region in “Solid Waste Landfill Pollution Control Standard”(GB16889-2008), which is of certain significance in guiding and reference forlandfill leachate treatment engineering, and laid the foundation of MVC EvaporationProcess’ popularization and application.
