SPE was using solid sorbent to adsorb the target compounds of liquid sample.Thesample matrix and interfering compounds was separated, then elution with eluent ordesorption by heating. The target compounds were enriched. This methed enhance detectionability of analytes,especially trace analytes. Solid phase extraction column was disposableproducts, and the price is relatively high. The silicon dioxide (SiO2)/polystyrene (PS)composite microspheres were prepared by dispersion polymerization. The compositions,structures, surface morphologies and particles size of the microspheres were characterized byFT-IR, SEM and TEM. Using SiO2/PS composite microspheres as solid-phase extraction(SPE)sorbent for selective extraction the o-nitrophenol, m-nitrophenol, nitrophenol andoctylphenol, nonylphenol in water, methanol was used as eluent, the eluent was concentratedto1mL under gentle nitrogen gas flow, the nitrophenols and the alkylphenols weredetermined by gas chromatography(GC) and high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC). In the chromatographic peak height on the concentration of phenol drawing standardcurve。The effect of SPE was reviewed by the factor of experimental study pH, type of eluentand eluent flow rate. The conditions of mensurating the nitrophenol and alkylphenol by gaschromatography and high performance liquid chromatography was optimized. The resultsshow that the SPE sorbent had high extraction rate to nitrophenol and alkylphenol in water,the method had good reproducibility, the advantages of simple and rapid process, highsensitivities, lower cost. The results indicated that extraction rate of nitrophenol andalkylphenol using the method of both SPE/GC and SPE/HPLC are over90%, the relativestandard deviation(RSD)3.26%-8.52%. SPE/GC combination technique for thedetermination of o-nitrophenol, m-nitrophenol, p-nitrophenol, octylphenol and nonylphenolwere0.11μg/L、0.37μg/L、0.55μg/L、0.17μg/L'0.21μg/L. SPE/HPLC combinationtechnique for the determination of o-nitrophenol, m-nitrophenol, p-nitrophenol, octylphenoland nonylphenol minimum detection limit respectively were0.90μg/L,0.72μg/L,0.62μg/L,0.38μg/L and0.41μg/L.
