Imidazole derivatives with rigid heteroarene make itself benefit to the grown of the crystal; ligand of rigidity are easy to connect metal ion to form high dimension structure and often accompany pore. The existence of the conjugate system make for electronic transfer, the compounds tend to have some special functions, and imidazole derivatives which are rich in nitrogen atoms not only can be use as monodentate ligand but also can be used as bidentate bridging ligand, as well as using as the bridge linking. So the ligands are good candidates for the construction of supramolecular architectures because in such ligands the N group can act as hydrogen bond donor and/or acceptor. In a word, metal-organic frameworks with imidazole derivatives have variety of structure and properties.In this paper, seven kinds of organic bridging compounds have been synthesized and characterized by IR, elemental analysis and1HNMR spectra. Seven kinds of imidazole derivatives compounds have been synthesized. As follows:Seven kinds of organic bridging compounds:3-(imidazolyl)benzoic acid4-(imidazolyl)benzoic acid1,3-bis(2’-benzimidazolyl)benzene1,3,5-tri(2’-benzimidazolyl)benzene2-(4’-pyridyl)benzimidazole2-aminodicetobenzoic acid4-aminodicetobenzoic acidSeven kinds of compounds:(1)[Zn2(C10H7N2O2)4]·2(H2O)(2)[Cd2(C10H8N2O2)4]·(H2O)(3)[LaCu2(C10H7N2O2)4]·[K(OH)2](4)[Cu2(C10H7N2O2)2(C10H8N2O2)2] (5)[Cuo.5(C10H7N202)]n-0.5n(H20)(6)[C2oH14N4]4(H20)(7)[C10H14O4]·[C12H8N3]The compounds have been characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction and elemental analysis, The compounds1-5have been characterized by IR, TG and solid-state emission sperctra. As a result, compound1and4are one dimensional structural metal-organic frameworks, compound2,3and5are two dimensional structural metal-organic frameworks, compound6is three dimensional homochiral structure of organic polymer, compound7is two dimensional homochiral structure of organic polymer. The metal-organic frameworks1,2,3and5are stable below300℃,390℃,370℃and310℃, respectively. The metal-organic frameworks1,2,3,4and5exhibit an emission peak at490nm,510nm,520nm,460nm and515nm, respectively.
