In recent years, the LTCC (Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramic) technology has been became the mainstream technology of electronic components manufacture, integration and packaging. It is urgent to develop new LTCC material system. Properties and functions of a single material are difficult to meet the requirement of LTCC for integrated performance. Low and mid dielectric constant ceramic material is a large amount of material is used for the dielectric layer material of the electronic component。In this paper,4kinds of low and middle dielectric constant ceramics were prepared by used the mixture of28BaO-18B2O3-54SiO2glass and BaTiO3at low sintering temperature. The dielectric constant (25℃,100HMz) is5.50,10.00,20.00and30.00respectively. In the first part, it is summed up the domestic and foreign research situation of the glass/ceramics materials. Secondly, it is the systematic study for the new material which is prepared by the mixture of BaTiO3ceramics and28BaO-18B2O3-54SiO2glass, through forming process by dry pressure and sintering process at different temperature. And at last, it is focused on the study for the samples to which is added high content of BaTiO3.This paper is focused on study the dielectric performances of the28BaO-18B2O3-54SiO2glass+BaTiO3ceramics material which sintering temperature is900℃and dielectric constant is adjustable from5to30with the change of BaTiO3additive. X-ray diffractometer (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) have been used to examine the new crystal phase and the microscopy structure of the material on which is effected by the different content of BaTiO3additive.The results have been indicated that BaTiO3can be used to adjust the new material’s permittivity as a dielectric additive, the solid phase have3new crystals (Ba2TiSi2O8, BaTi(BO3)2, BaTi2O5) and the main factor which influences on the dielectric constant is the content of BaTiO3remnant in the solid phase.
