By comparison of catalytic activity of many kinds of catalysts such as CA-P, phosphotungstic acid(PW12/C), silico-tungstic acid (SiW), cerous sulfate(Ce(SO4)2), cation exchange resin D72, in the synthesizing reaction of trimethylolpropane triacrylate(TMPTA), it is finally found that CA-P possesses better catalytic activity. Furthermore, the best synthesizing condition of trimethylolpropane triacrylate has been determined after the orthogonal experiment as following:CA-P is used as catalyst, SO-T as water carrier agent, paraphenyl-biphenol as inhibitor, the catalyst consumption is3.5%of the total mass of reaction materials, the mole ratio of acrylic acid and tri-hydroxyl propane is3.5:1, the inhibitor consumption is0.08%of the total mass, the water carrier agent consumption is40%of the total mass, the reaction temperature is controlled at80℃, and the reaction lasts for six hours. Under the optimized condition, the yield of trimethylolpropane triacrylate can reach86.5%, the percentage composition of total ester in the product is greater than98%, the percentage composition of trimethylolpropane triacrylate in the product is greater than90%, and the APHA of the product is smaller than25.Trimethylolpropane triacrylate are expressed with infrared spectrum and mass spectrometer. As far as the application is concerned, light curing coating is made up.
