Rare earth doped transparent Na2O-B2O3-SiO2(NBS) system glass-ceramics using TiO2and ZrO2as nucleating agent were prepared by the melting method and crystal technique. The crystallization heat-treated schedules were based on DSC results. The compositions and structure of crystal phases were determined on the base of XRD results. The transparent NBS glass-ceramics with main crystal phase of Na10B4O11and ZrO2were crystallized at620-680℃. The optical transmittances of the NBS glass-ceramics were measured by spectrophotometer. Crystal phase of the samples of grain between100~300nm feet, is spherical, degree of crystallization and distribution changes with changes of heat-treated schedules. UV-Vis-NIR spectrometer for testing of optical transmittance, results show that the NBS system to85%optical transmittance of glass-ceramics, the transmittance of glass-ceramics doped rare earth Nd3+to80%, The influences of crystallization heat-treated schedules to the optical transmittance were discussed. HORIBA FL3—211fluorescent spectrometer was used to get the emission and excitation spectra of samples. The results show that as the temperature increases, the grain size becomes larger, the corresponding fluorescence emission intensity has been added.
