Plasma electrolytic oxidation experiment is an innovative and more efficient surface treatment technology. Plasma electrolytic oxidation experiment (also known as micro-arc oxidation experiment) is a new surface treatment technology that use electrochemical means to grow high-quality ceramic film on Al, Mg, Ti and other valve metals and their alloys in situ, by micro-arc high-pressure high-temperature plasma role in it. This paper used self-made electrolytic oxidation experimental device to study the characteristics of Ti6-Al-4V alloy plasma electrolytic oxidation behavior and the resulting ceramic layer. The ceramic layer is the product of reacts with the attached metal made by this method. It has very strong adhesion that can reach80%of the metal molecules. Meanwhile, the film has a porous structure. Using this film to deal with orthopedic implants will not only help with the implants attach to the original bone, but also the release and infiltration of the antimicrobial agents around the implant.
