The low-surface-energy modification is an important researchdirection in the preparation of polyacrylate emulsion with high property.Polyacrylate emulsion low-surface-energy modified can be widely usedin the coatings of the anti-graffiti, the stain-resistant. But the presentlow-surface-energy modification of Polyacrylate emulsion has theshortage of complexity process, high cost, so to find a simple andeffective modified method has a great significance.In this subject, the particles with low-surface-energy were used tomodify polyacrylate emulsion and the film with low-surface-energy wereprepared. Firstly, PEW, fluoro-alkyl silanes and molecular sieves wereused to prepare two types of particles with low-surface-energy. Themorphology and the property of the particles were characterized and theinfluence of the morphology on the particles were discussed. Then thelow-surface-energy particles were used to modify the film of polyacrylateemulsion. The influence of different modification methods on film wasstudied and the modification effect of particles with different property was compared. The results are following:(1)The composite particles of PEW/molecular sieve withmicro-structure are prepared by melting, and the morphology ofmicro-structure can be controlled by changing the molar ratio ofPEW/molecular sieve. When the molar ratio of PEW/molecular sieve islow, the surface of the composite particles is covered by PEW/molecularsieve micro-ball and it makes the composite particles possess a lowersurface energy compare to PEW. In addition, the composite particles withmicro-ball structure can be prepared by two-steps (mechanical mixingand melting) under the lower molar ratio of PEW/molecular sieve.When the Fluoro-alkyl silanes is used to modify molecular sieve, theFluoro-alkyl silanes can be adsorbed to the surface of molecular sievesand change the polarity of molecular sieve.(2)When the film is modified by particle filling method, the roughstructure on the surface of film can be constructed with particles and itcan effectively reduce the interaction between viscose and film. Moreoverthe surface of the particles is almost covered with film and the C-F cantransfer to surface of film, so the modification effect of theF-molecular-sieve is better than the PEW/molecular-sieve. In addition thePEW/molecular-sieve with PEW/molecular-sieve micro-ball possesses abetter modification capability than the PEW/molecular-sieve with levelsurface. When the surface of the modification film is ground,the particlesunder the film turn to the surface of the film and it makes the film possessa lower surface energy. And the film which is modified withPEW/molecular showed an excellent anti-sticking property.When the film is modified by particle scattering, the property of themodification film is almost the same as the surface which is accumulatedby the particles. The film possesses a lower surface energy and anexcellent anti-sticking property. However the film modified in this wayhas to strictly control the thickness and the particle size. A great quantityparticles are needed in the modification.
