CNC machine is a kind of typical mechatronic system. With the rapid development of numerical control technology, the popularity of CNC machinery is becoming the trend of mechanical industry. Higher and higher requirements are put forward on how to improve the efficiency and quality of CNC machine tool manufacturing industry in the development, production, maintenance, etc.This task made specific and in-depth research and practice to develop an implemented control system for Fanuc NC machine tools, planning and designing NC control system to meet customer’s specific needs. It was discussed specifically on matching CNC system for the project, motion control system configuration, and sequence control of switching values. Particularly a detailed study was done on the application of PLC technology in the CNC machine tools, which is also called programmable machine controller (PMC) and sequential program. Idiographic methods were epurated for modularized configuration and programming. These have not only improved the cutting accuracy but also been propitious to boost the efficiency and quality of the design and development of control system.This task also made the preliminary study on fault diagnosis system of CNC machine tools. The fault tree analysis integrated, an interactive accessorial diagnostic software was developed using the object-oriented programming technology and database technology, which can help maintenance staff to diagnose the problem and extensive diagnostic knowledge base. It also generates the feedback information to the design, manufacture, maintenance and improvement of machine tools. The software gives more intuitionistic and logistic expression for the well-connected tree-net relation in the database, synthetically using the technology such as tree control and list box, which smartly elevate the diagnose efficiency of the servicing personnel.
