Nowadays, scientists becomes deeply interested in the research and application of polymermicrosphere, especially in painting、chemistry、environmental protection and medicine, which have more development prospect. And also the performance of particle is changed in optics、electricity、magnetic and chemistry, because the microsphere coated by noble metal has different size、 component and structural alignment. So scientists pay attention to the specialized characteristics brought by the noble metal, such as Au、Ag、Pd.In this paper, I analyze the preparation and characterization of polystyrene‐metal core‐shell particles, which includes:1) The different figures of polystyrene microsphere produced by different dispersing agent in the way of dispersion polymerization were analyzed. We can get the best condition to prepare the big size polystyrene microsphere. Similarly, the optimal reaction condition was gotten to prepare the small size polystyrene microsphere.2) The timing effect was considered when polystyrene microsphere was nitrified and then reduced. After that, according to the figure of IR, we can know if PNS or PAS was produced.3) Many ways to prepare polystyrene‐metal core‐shell particles were applied. The impact to the result was analyzed when using different mass ratio and different redactor to prepare big size polystyrene‐Au core‐shell particles; similarly, citricacid was analyzed to prepare big size polystyrene‐Ag core‐shell particles; finally, I used three different ways to make small size polystyrene‐Au、Ag、Pd core‐shell particles.4) Besides the use of IR and SEM, EDX was used in the analysis of the result through the mass fraction of metal and then we can know which way was the better or worse to prepare what we want.
