Forging hydraulic press is one of the major symbols of measurement of anational machinery manufacturing level which has the followingcharacteristics,such as fine process precision,high automation level,and so on. Asan important large forging equipment, it is widely applied in industrial productionand national defense construction.According to technological requirements of YH10-4000isothermal forginghydraulic press,hydraulic system of the hydraulic press is designed in thispaper.And then the proper hydraulic components can be selected the function andeffect of which is also analysed.By understanding the working principle of thesystem,the mathematical model of some important hydraulic components of thesystem can be builded and the mathematical model of the whole electro-hydraulicservo system is deduced accordingly. Furthermore, static and dynamic performanceanalysis of the system is made and the corresponding correction of the system isnecessary if the system has bad performance.As the electro-hydraulic servo system whose parameters are easy to change isrequired to have high control accuracy in the working process, it is difficult toachieve effective control using the conventional PID controller, which is necessaryto seek new control strategies. Intelligent control methods have a very wide rangeof applications in the field of industrial control. As a new branch, immune controlstrategy used in industrial applications is studied in recent years and a new immunePID controller based on BP network is designed in this paper. Through the analysisof control performance of the new controller because of the influences of internalparameters of the controller, the appropriate set of parameters can be selected.Simulation results show that compared with the conventional PID controller, theimmune PID controller based on BP network has better robustness andanti-interference performance. The electro-hydraulic servo system shows a betterdynamic response performance under control of the new controller whose controlrequirements are available to meet.
