Study On Quality Improvement Of3M Label Products Based On DMAIC Methodology

With the growth of local business, to get quickly get the marketing share in China,more and more new label products lanuched in the production line with a very tough step,and the quick speed cause unstable manufacturing process and lead to poor productsquanlity. This thesis mainly based on the six sigma DMIAC methodoloy to solve currentsituation. The article firstly have some study and discussion on the six sigma theory andthen summarize the local and overseas research situation on six sigma. Through gatheringand analysing current label quanlity related data, we find the main problems, then usecause and effects analyse and potential failure model effects analye method to define thekey factors, at the same time, we do some deep study on the company’s measurementsystem. Through design of experiment to improve the main factors defined, after executethe improvement measure, comparing the quality situation with before we can see theimprovement project achieved the goal we set at the very begin.By the project, we not only improved the label quality to a new level, but also pavethe ways for the future using of six sigma DMAIC method to solve the other problems inour daily work.
