The carbon dioxide(CO2)adsorbents was prepared through impregnating thesynthesized MCM-41with polyethylenimine (PEI). MCM-41, the supporter of PEI,can be synthesized by different methods. In this paper, we used different preparationways for MCM-41obtaining variant structure and investigated how mesoporousstructure of MCM-41impacted the CO2adsorption capacity. The resultant sampleswere characterized by small angle X-ray power diffraction (XRD), High resolutiontransmission electron microscope (HRTEM), N2adsorption/desorption, thermalgravimetric analysis (TGA) for the CO2adsorption performance. At1131m2g-1ofBET surface area in MCM-41and50wt.%of PEI loading in MCM-41, the highestCO2adsorption capacity of232.1mg/g-PEI was obtained. MCM-41mesoporousmolecular sieve has high water thermal stability and single pore canal, and has largespecific surface area. Through loaded organic amine, it has higher selectivity andhigher adsorption quantity than common solid adsorbent. Using channels internalclassification structure can improve the organic amine dispersion and the adsorptionof carbon dioxide. This paper focuses on the research the preparation of MCM-41ofwhich template is removed partly by chemical method and loaded PEI as solidadsorbent. Adsorbent is characterized by XRD, FT-IR, TEM, BET TG, and weresearch the influence of template on PEI dispersion and carbon dioxide adsorption.MCM-4150%load the adsorption quantity PEI get CO2than MCM-4150%load PEIsample increased by12.6%to131mg/g.50%load PEI and MCM-4175%load PEIadsorption basic consistent, but the former PEI in the CO2adsorption for262mg/g,while the latter for175mg/g, adsorption increased by50%. It indicated that the ductinternal, since there are filamentous micelle and the formation of classificationstructure increased the organic amine dispersion, thus increasing CO2absorption.
