Thisthesis is based on an original virtual plastic injection machine simulation system, andfurther studies the modeling methods of injection machine parts, the system renderingtechnology, the process simulation and so on. Several important improved resolutions arebrought forward and carried into execution.The virtual simulation system must realize the movement of main parts of aninjection machine to obtain an outstanding virtual simulation effect. This thesis solves aproblem which arise from the simultaneous existence of rigid body motion and amoeboidmotion in an injection machine. By introducing the skeletal and skeletal skinned real timeanimation technology, the motion modeling is built by combining3D modelingtechnology and programming. The results show that this method can satisfy both of therigid motion simulation, such as opening and closing mold, and the flexible amoeboidmotion simulation of pipes in the hydraumatic oil system. This design pattern also hasseveral other advantages, such as for simplifying modeling, having a good extendibility.The tree structure is adopted to manage hybrid geometric models. The loading ofmodel files, such as MS3D and X is detail discussed. The real time rendering methods forskeletal animation and skeletal skinned animation are also designed. The skeletal skinnedanimation affects the system rendering performance seriously due to a mass of calculationwhen updating the vertex position dynamically. The paper introduces the technology ofGPU hardware programming and designs relational algorithms to optimize the renderingprocess and reduce the calculation of CPU hardware. As a result, it increases the systemrendering speed to approximate two times. A module of the process simulation is designed to make users to study the process inthe virtual simulation system. The process simulation gives a real time prediction andfeedback of the process parameters which is set by users. The method can be summarizedas follows. First of all, the process window is built a set of CAE analysis is performed by aplastic injection simulation software. Thus the defect of plastic product can be predictedby the process window.
