According to the specification of the cooperative project between HAITAI Corporation and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, the key issues of the simulation of plastic injection machines have been investigated thoroughly. And the corresponding simulation system has been developed.Three modeling schemes have been analyzed and modeling through CAD systems is adopted with model data obtained by programs. A approach to implement injection machine simulation is presented based on the skeletal animation and overcame the difficulties in the simulation of plastic injection machine successfully. The mechanism of the method is described, and the implementation method is discussed in details.The control system of the virtual injection machine system has been established, including the system function, division of its module and programming. The design and implementation of the logic control unit has been discussed which is the key of the control system. The model control and action simulation of the model control unit has also been illustrated. Model control in hierarchy and action simulation by interpolation in MS3D key frames is presented.The principles and implementation of stereoscopic display techniques have been discussed, including the basic principles, the type of binocular parallax, the hardware and formats of the stereoscopic display. The principles, implementation and advantages and disadvantages of the OpenGL stereoscopic driver and the NVIDIA stereoscopic display driver have been discussed in details.Based on the above research, a simulation system named as HsCAI has been developed. And the interface and procedure of the system are displayed.
