This article introduces the concept and of virtual prototyping technology. Describethe development of the technology both at home and abroad. Based on virtualprototyping technology, design the automatic feeding machine and the motions of themachine. The research should increase productivity and production quality.This research focus on the follows:(1) Analyze the bending process of the U-shaped arm and the feeding motionswhich bending process requires. Based on the analysis, design the basic structure of thefeeding machine, design the feeding motions of the machine. Draw the bending andfeeding process diagram.(2) Using ANSYS and MSC/ADAMS build up the model of the machine. Based onthe principle of rigid-flex coupling, do kinematics and dynamics simulation of the feedingprocess. Based on the result of the simulation, analyze the design of the feeding motions isreasonable or not. Output dynamics simulation data, and provides reference for the designof mechanical parts of the machine.(3) According to the dynamic simulation data, combined with the theoreticalcalculation, analysis the movement and force data of the parts of automatic feedingmachine. According to the life expectancy and the load requirements, design thetransmission system of the machine. Following the selection guide, choose the appropriatestandard parts. Use a3D modeling software UG build up the automatic feeding machine.Using ANSYS/workbench to feed unit overall intensity and stiffness analysis, analysis andits maximum deformation part deformation degree, find weak positions. Optimize thestructure of the feeding machine.
