The thickness precision is a main quality index of the hot rolled strip. To ensure the overall length thickness accuracy for improving the quality of hot rolled strip, improving the head thickness percentage is of great significance.Based on one hot rolling strip, the strip thickness control as the research object and control target, through compiling the control procedures for the finish rolling process of mathematical model set system, combining with optimizing the actual application, the thickness of the strip head requirements is ensured.The paper’s main work is as follows:(1) To analyze and study the thickness control system and the mathematical model, the thickness mathematical model adapted to the actual is established, and based on this, the control procedures was accomplished.(2) The function of the finish rolling thickness control system was introduced, and the setting calculation and self-learning function was studied, and also each control module algorithm process and the procedures to achieve process was described and analyzed.(3) To analyze the tracking system for hot strip of finish rolling detailed, choosing appropriate tracking sensors, to realize the tracking process, and to amend the tracking.(4) Having used Wince software on human-machine interface design, it is convenient for operators to control, and the production efficiency was improved and the production process was optimized.(5) Through the report design by using the Oracle lOg database programming, the production data message output was realized, making the production management and failure analysis easier.(6) To analyze the practical application effect used L2, and to make the concrete application result from a theoretical perspective and the effect of the application.
