Magnetic polyurethane resin is a kind of magnetic polymer materialand it is a research hot spot in fine polymer field.In the Paper, a new typepolyurethane chain extension agent is synthesized by the moleculardesign method which the method involving the use of dimethylolpropionic acid (DMPA) and ferrous powder in various kinds solventconditions. And the reaction solvent, temperature, the ratio of rawmaterials and reaction time influence on remanence and coercivity ofCKJ were investigated. Finally, the optimum conditions magnetic ofchain extension agent synthesis were determined. The magnetic chainextende was characterized by the infrared spectrometer, Single beamuv-vis spectrophotometer, differential thermal-thermogravimetricanalyzer, the hysteresis loop line detector, the hysteresis loop devices andso on. In conclusion, the best synthetic process conditions of magnetic chain extension agent preparation are that reaction solvent is ethyleneglycol; reaction temperature is120℃, iron and dimethylol propionic acidratio is1:2, reaction time is4hours.In addition, the magnetic polyurethane is synthesized byprepolymerization body method using the polyethylene glycol ester ofadipic acid diol (PEA),4,4-methylene diphenyl isocyanate ester (MDI),1,4-butanediol (BDO) and home-made magnetic chain extender, whichis synthesized by a method involving the use of dimethylol propionic acid(DMPA) and ferrous powder in dimethylformamide as solvent conditions.And the impact of the content of magnetic chain extender、the chainextender BDO and PEA on magnetic polyurethane remanence andcoercivity, mechanical properties (tensile strength, elongation at break,hardness) and the rheological properties are studied. The experimentalresults show the hysteresis loop of magnetic polyurethane was a smoothclosed curve.
