In order to seek the effective removal of iron and manganese by adsorbents when iron and manganese exist at the same time.In this paper, chosing the low price, rich reserves of the volcano rocks to study, and they are acided, alkalied, salted, salted+alkalied modification. Determining the best adsorbents for removaling iron and manganese respectively.by the static adsorption experiment research with volcano rocks, four kinds of modified volcano rocks, manganese sands.The dynamic filter simulation verification among the best adsorbents and manganese sand. The results show that volcanic can adsorb100%iron ion in simulation mine water, obviously better than the modification of volcanic and manganese sand, but ion adsorption removal rate of manganese can reach92.19%through the basic modification volcanic rocks. Their best technological conditions as follows:The immersion time of the basic modificative volcanic rocks is16h, the quality score of modifier is5%, the adsorption time of volcanic rocks is180min, the adsorption time of the basic modificative volcanic rocks is90min, the particle size of absorbents between30~100mesh,the temperature is25℃, the pH value is7, the shock strength is100r/min, the dosing quantity is2g, isothermal adsorption equation of volcanic rocks adsorb iron and manganese is respectively according with Langmuir and Freundich isothermal adsorption equation of the basic modification volcanic rocks adsorb iron and manganese are both fitting for Freundich. Iron manganese each other between inhibition,the concentration of iron ion influence the removal of manganese ion,the concentration of the manganese ion in removing has some influence to iron ion, but less effect. Through the dynamic simulation of the nuclear test, and verifies the static test results, the filter column of the volcanic rocks is the highest removal rate of iron ion, and between filtering6h-48h, after treatment of mine water contains iron ion concentrations reach the standard of drinking water, the basic modification volcanic rocks and manganese sand to the removal rate of iron ion almost close, they are lower than volcanic rocks. The ability of volcanic rocks adsorpt the iron ion is the strongest, and it is the last through the filter layer, so saturated quantity of volcanic rocks adsorpt iron ion is the biggest of all.Three filter columns on the removal rate of the manganese ion is as follows:the basic modification volcanic rocks> manganese sand> volcanic rocks, the filter column of the basic modification volcanic rocks in4h~10h filter inside,after treatment of mine water contain manganese ion concentration below0.1mg/L which reaches the standard of the drinking water...
