Coal is an important fundamental energy and crude material of our country. Sincethe founding of the new China, coal industry has made long-term progress whichcontributed significantly to the national economy. However, currently safety accidentsof each kind of coal mines, which take place in a frequent way in our country, haveposed negative influence over the national economy and have caused massive economicloss. The coal industry’s development is severely restricted by the safety of coal minesof our country, which has become the “bottleneck” of the development of our country’scoal industry. Therefore, scientifically statistical analysis of the regularity and traits ofcoal mines’ safety accidents will become the reference for establishing reasonableprecautionary and control measures.Statistical analysis of coal mines’ safety accidents, which analyzes, measures andcalculates safety conditions of the system, as well as combines the traits of accidents,applies scientific measures of statistical analysis based on the past and present statisticaldata of accidents, is a crucial content of coal mines’ research. In this thesis, historicaldata is categorized and analyzed by means of collecting a great deal of statistical data ofsafety accidents of coal mines.By means of using mathematical statistics, safetyaccident statistics of domestic coal mines from2001through2010will be carried out toanalyze development trends of accidents over the recent years in terms of category, timeregularity, and region. Accident models will be established to find out the root causes ofsafety accidents by seeking the underlying regularity of those data, applying causationtheory of safety accidents, as well as concluding and summarizing causation theory ofcoal mine accidents, so as to possibly decrease death toll or to avoid the happenings ofaccidents. On the basis of the results of statistics, administrative staff of coal mines willbe able to supervise coal mines effectively and work out concrete precautionarymeasures of accident work injury for the purpose of establishing safety managementmeasures and strengthening safety management scientifically, systematically andimpeccably. It will lay effective foundation for governmental and entrepreneurialmanagerial departments to formulate a number of decision-making measures in terms ofsafety production, and will offer support for enhancing the safety production level of thefield of coal mines of our country, for controlling the happenings of safety accidents,and for promoting the production and harmonious development of our country’s coal mines.
