This study is based on8104fully mechanized top coal caving face of Datong coal groupTaShan coal mine, to analysis gas emission situation. First, predicting gas emission of the faceand goaf, and studying on constitution of gas emission, to lay the foundation for research on gasemission law. Through layouting drilling and burying strap tube to gain the data of goaf gasemission and analysis the characteristics of gas emission. Dividing monitoring cross section inworking face to observe the gas emission situation in real time, and study on the characteristicsof gas emission in working face. Then, establishing the physical model of8104working face,through the numerical calculation method, to discuss gas distribution and emissioncharacteristics of goaf under U type ventilated condition. At the last, according to gas extractionsystem of8104fully mechanized top coal caving face in Tashan coal mine, this paper establishesthe physical models of burying tube in the upper corner, natural extracting gas through roofroadway and using the pump to extract gas through roof roadway. After calculation, obtaininggas distribution and emission law under the condition of extraction. Through the research of gasdistribution and emission law under different conditions, this study would provide the basis forgas extraction measures formulated.
