The aim of this thesis is to synthesize three new inorganic-organic hybridcompounds and two coordination compounds of transition metal by using Kegginpolyoxometalates cluster XW12(X=Si or B) and transition-metal substituted Kegginpolyoxometalates with transition metal and various organic bridging ligands, to studythe synthetic conditions and rules for these compounds. In this paper, the newcompounds have been synthesized under conventional synthesis or hydrothermalsynthesis technique, and structurally characterized by single crystal X-ray diffractionsand elemental analyses, IR, TG. The photoluminescence properties of the compound2and3have been studied.1. Under conventional synthesis and hydrothermal synthesis condition, three newcompounds based on Keggin polyoxometalates XW12(X=Si or B) andtransition-metal substituted Keggin polyoxometalates building blocks with transitionmetal (Ag+and Cu2+) and two organic bridging ligands have been synthesized andcharacterized:Na(H2O)2[(Ag3L2·H2O)2(Ag3L2)2(BW12O40)]·4H2O (1)[Na2(OH)2Na2(H2O)(Ag3L2·H2O)2(PVMo11O40)]·3H2O (2)[Cu2(dap)2(H2O)2][SiW12O40]]·10H2O (3)L=pyridine-3-carboxylate(HNA);dap=5,6-diamino-1,10-phenanthrolineThe compounds1and2based on Keggin-type polyoxoaions([BW12O40]5-and[PVMo11O40]4-) as building blocks and transition-metal nicotinic acid subunits, weresuccessfully synthesized under the conventional synthesis condition. In compounds1and2, the polyoxoaions clusters as connector shared adjacent Ag[Ag2L2]n2n+chainsleading to a1D ladder-like chain, at last in to3D framework structure. Since there arehydrogen bonds and the π···π interaction of pyridine ring, the3D framework structureis more stable.The compound3exhibits a2D structure, which is obtained by hydrothermalsynthesis with dap ligand. In compound3adjacent [SiW12O40]]4-polyanions are linkedby [Cu(dap)(H2O)2]2+forming2D layer, and the layers are linked into a3Dsupramolecular structure through hydrogen bonds between water molecule and dapligand.2. The two new compounds have been synthesized and characterized under conventional aqueous synthesis condition, based on transition metal ions (Mn and Co)and2-propyl-4,5-imidazoledicarboxylate:[Mn(H2pimdc)2(H2O)2]·4H2O (4)[Co(H2pimdc)2(H2O)2]·3H2O (5)H3pimdc=2-propyl-4,5-imidazoledicarboxylateIn compound4and5, the transition metal cation of M2+is coordinated by twoH2pimdc-ligands in single-chelating mode and two water molecules at thecis-positions, forming a neutral coordination molecule, cis-[Mn2+(H2pimdc)2(H2O)2],π-π interaction and hydrogen bonds lead to3D supermolecular structure.
