C-H activation attracted increasing attention in recent years. C-H activation can be realize d with metal catalysts in high efficiency. Cheap metal catalysts such as Fe or Cu salts are first selected. Tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) as a common oxidant, is promoted C-H activation. The combination of TBHP with metal catalyst can be used to construct various kinds of carbon-carbon and carbon-heteroatom bonds via C-H activation. This paper discussed the N-arylpyrrolidine-1-carboxamide (arylureas) with FeSO4/2.2equiv TBHP in water with heating. We got a series products of2-(tert-butylperoxy)-N-arylpyrrolidine (or piperidine)-1-carboxamide, either2-oxo-N-aryl pyrrolidine-1-carboxamides or1,3-diary lure as were attained in raising temperature. unring arylurea (1,1-diethyl-3-phenylurea) is produced1-ethyl-3-phenylurea as low rate. Important intermediate N-(tert-butylperoxy)-N-(2,4-dimethylphenyl)-pyrrolidine-1-carboxamide is very useful to the mechanism of the reaction. The reaction mechanism is known by others works and the experimental results. The reasonableness of radical mechanism is supported, because Fe(II) recycling and2equiv TBHP are different acting. The differene structure2-(tert-butylperoxy)-arylureas be heating have different productions, this can be riched more the reaction.
