Guar gum’s main chain composition is half lacteal chitosan. Its structure is dew by β-1,4glycosidase keys with D-mannose connection form the main chain, and in some mannosethrough the α-1,6glycosidase keys with d-half of lactose form side chain, which constitutemany branched candy.[BMIM]Cl ionic liquids have low volatile, good thermal stability andcontrollable polarity properties.[BMIM]Cl ionic liquids are a green organic solvent.Guar gum and dodecenyl succinic anhydride were used to produce esterification Guargum in [BMIM]Cl ionic liquids. The reaction time, the DDSA dosage, reaction temperature, the dosage of organic alkali etc., were studied and the optimum conditions were obtained: theorganic alkali dosage was30%, the DDSA dosage was30%, the reaction temperature was30℃, and the reaction time was5.5h. With FT-IR represents the esterification guar gum’sstructure, with SEM observes the esterification guar gum’s surface morphology, with DTGshows the esterification of guar gum’s thermal stability performance is good than guar gum, with Rheometer analysis shows the guar gum and the esterification guar gum behaved asnon-Newtonian shear thinning fluids. The viscosity-magnetism effect increased with theincrease in the degree of substitution. The wet end characteristic of the tobacco pulp was studied. The results indicate that theeffects of pH value in the tobacco slurry system, the ion concentration, the concentration ofthe slurry and the beating degree of the pulp have different effects on Zeta potential factorsand the cationic demand. With the increase of the dosage of the Guar Gum sodium dodecenyl succinate, The FPRkeeps rising. The higher the degree of substitution the better the first pass retention (FPR) ofminor composition was. The Guar Gum sodium Octadecenyl succinate has better retentioneffects than the Guar Gum sodium dodecenyl succinate and the Guar Gum sodium ocentylsuccinate. The faster the speed of DDJ, the worse of the first pass retention (FPR) of minorcomposition was. When the DDJ speed is500r/min, the first pass retention (FPR) of minorcomposition was81%, When the DDJ speed was2000r/min, and the first pass retention (FPR)of minor composition was52%.With the increase of the pH, the first pass retention (FPR) ofminor composition first increase then decrease. The higher the degree of substitution the better the drainage was. The Guar Gum sodiumOctadecenyl succinate has better drainage effects than the Guar Gum sodium dodecenylsuccinate and the Guar Gum sodium ocentyl succinate under the same condition. With theincrease of the Guar Gum sodium Octadecenyl succinate, the quantitative of the handsheet increase, the bursting strength and tensile index can improve.
