In this thesis, the polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fiber and ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber are pre-irradiation treated by γ-ray of60Co source in the CAS Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, exploring the impact of irradiation on the structure and properties of the two fibers by FT-IR spectra, XRD spectra and SEM photos et al. The results show that the properties of fibers change with the the irradiated atmosphere and dose during the degradation and crosslinking. The amidoxime based chelating fibers are prepared and used for adsorbing the vanadium (Ⅲ) ion, researching the adsorption properties of different fibers. Radiation crosslinking can effectively improve the the oximation reaction rate of PAN. The chelating fibers had a high adsorption capacity and keeped good mechanical properties. The irradiated UHMWPE reacted with Styrene monomer by graft modification reaction.Calculate the fiber graft ratio and study the affect of irradiation dose and atmosphere. The results show that the graft ratio of fibers in vacuum irradiation is higher than in air under the same conditions. Within a smaller irradiation range, the grafting reaction rate is proportional to irradiation dose, the structure and properties of the fibers are changed.
