Major foreign multinational oil companies have successfully developed directionaldrilling tools and put into use ofr many years. They carry on the related technical blockade toour country. They also have made great economic benefits of monopoly. In this serioussituation, developing modern directional drilling equipments is of great strategic signiifcancefor our country.This paper mainly introduces the working principles and total design solution ofdirectional drilling system. It discusses its composition structure and working principle of thestabilized platform. Because the directional drilling tool works in a special environment,through demonstration, this plan chooses H∞control method on stabilized platform.According to the requirements of good real-time performance of this tool, the scheme adoptsreal-time operation system.The paper puts forward to a project implementation scheme of the control system ofstabilized platform, which is based on the new micro control unit of ARM named STM32F103series as the core, and the embedded real-time operation system μC/OS-Ⅱruns on thecoer. The article establishes mathematical model of the control system, and designs H∞controller by using MATLAB sotfware. The paper introduces the design idea and principle ofhardware in detail; it presents the experimental principle diagram; introduces sotfwareprogramming ideas and code compiling method of modules.The article implements the related experiments to the design scheme and analysis it,explains the problems of it and gives suggestion for improvement.
