Air foam profile control and flooding is an innovative enhanced oil recovery technology. The major mechanism of this technology is to increase the swept volume and the minor mechanism is to enhance the oil displacement efficiency. Based on the function of the pre-slug whose objection is to adjust injection profile, the post-slug is injected into formation to activate the residual oil. Therefore, the profile control and flooding roles are both achieved. On one hand, the swept volume is enlarged by the improvement of the post-slug; On the other hand, the reduction of residual oil saturation and enhancement of oil recovery are realized by the post-slug. Ultimately, the EOR is achieved.This paper is aimed at the water channeling and flooding problems in shallow fractured reservoir of Gan Guyi Tang114well block which is located in the eastern parts of Shanbei Yanchang Oil Field. The first goal of this paper is to select the indoor experiments parameters. The foaming agent and stabilizer systems are selected and the major controlling factors and its influential laws are assessed through the geological analysis study and the indoor core flowing experiments. The general appraisal of the application of Air foam profile control and flooding is studied and the field injection programme and the practical field technology are pointed out. The prospective future of this technology used in Tang114shallow fractured ultra low permeability reservoir which is located in the eastern parts of Shanbei Yanchang oil field were identified by the field test. Also, in some way, it provided the basis for improving the develop effects and the ultimate oil recovery in similar low permeability reservoirs.
