The carbon fiber tubular component as a new kind of composite material, it has many advantages such as light weight, superior tensile strength, fatigue resistance, electrical conductivity, etc. With the continuous development of fiber processing, textile engineering, composite material molding technology and advanced manufacturing engineering, carbon fiber tubular component has become widely used in various areas such as energy transportation, environment protection, aerospace, biological chemistry and etc.The major task of the project is to research in mechanical property method of carbon fiber tunic three dimensional woven composite materials. It focuses on stretch experiment, compress experiment and bend experiment. A series of testing methods were designed. More comparative experiments were conducted between stretch experiment and compress experiment. Through the analysis and summarization of the testing result, the project made great improvement towards experiments. Below are major attributions:1. Two stretch testing methods were brought up:sample stretch method and whole stretch method. They were separately used for big tubular and small tubular materials. Resin was used to make the second compound towards two ends of the sample clamping parts. This method helps to prevent from sample damage in the testing process. And it could also result in accurate stretch testing. A special grip for overall tensile testing were designed in the whole stretching method. The feasibility and superiority were tested in this experiment which made a break through the bottleneck of clamping difficulty in regular experimenting methods.2. Two testing methods were brought up for compressing sample compressing method and whole compressing method. They are used for the big tubular and small tubular materials test. In the big tubular material testing method sample compress method was applied. Arc-shaped sample was cut from tube made by composite materials. Combined with the designed clamping tools, it is easy to conduct compress strength testing. It solved the problem in testing big tube materials. To protect the sample, specific models were used to conduct second compound for small tube sample. This method helps to reduce the risk of damage from concentrate strength from sample ends. In this way the accuracy and the reliability of testing results were improved.3. Developed a tensile grip mechanical prototype system, bring great convenience to testing personnel to design corresponding grip according to different types of samples.
