Rotor spinning is kind of air spinning, gas stream plays an important role in the process of spinning, and is closely linked to the transfer of the fibers and yarn quality. However, the basic study of air flow in the rotor spinning is still in the blank stage, especially the analysis and research of rotor airflow field in the rotor spinning. So that the rotor spinning practitioner’s understanding of airflow Rotor can only be based on the traditional accumulation of experience, can not get strong support and validation in theory, it is also due to the traditional test inspection method and analytical tools for rotor spinning processing airflow are limited, so limiting the further improvement and development of the rotor spinning technology. In this paper, a mature computation fluid dynamics software FLUENT and modeling software GAMBIT were used to analysis the flow field of the rotor spinning rotor. Specific researches as follows:First, Modeling and meshing the spinning rotor of air-extracting type rotor spinning by using the computational fluid dynamics software FLUENT, two-dimensional numerical simulation of flow field in the rotor by finite volume method, the results show that the flow field speed within the rotor is20~150m/s, In the upper and lower airflow inlet conduit are respectively formed two air vortex, the air flow at the entrance of the false twisting disc is lower velocity. In order to obtain a more detailed flow field information, this article also interception of A-A, B-B two cross-section, Wherein the x-axis direction of the section AA airflow plays the role of the fibers ejected spinning rotor wall, y-axis direction of the airflow plays a role in the transfer of the fibers to the flocculation tank; Section B-B airflow mainly based on x-axis direction, Played the role of the auxiliary fiber transfer in cohesion slot.Secondly, the establishment of a three-dimensional model and set the same boundary conditions with the two-dimensional simulation, using FLUENT simulation3D simulation and get the results:Cup overall velocity distribution in the10~150m/s, on the section A A airflow inlet airflow from the feed pipe into the spinning rotor, is rotated in a clockwise direction, and the speed is decreasing; The main direction of airflow in the BB cross-section is from left to right, there is a small range of clockwise rotation Airflow in the periphery of the circular surface. By two-dimensional, three-dimensional in the x axis direction speed and the y(z) axis direction speed on the section A-A and B-B comparison, that demonstrated that two-dimensional and three-dimensional simulation results with higher consistency.Finally, select the delivery pipe inlet angle, delivery pipe inlet velocity, false-twist plate height, rotor wall angle four parameters to do changing simulation, establishing the appropriate model for numerical simulation, making comparative analysis of the numerical simulation results of the different parameters model.In this paper, a series of numerical simulation analysis of rotor spinning rotor validated the feasibility of using computational fluid dynamics software FLUENT and modeling software GAMBIT for modeling and analysis of the flow field of the rotor spinning rotor.
