With the development of spinning technologyies, ring spinning is unable to meet the more and more requirements of the diversity. There was a wide range of new spinning technology. And rotor spinning becomes the most popular one because of its unique characteristices.There are five parts in this paper:first, discussing the development, classes of rotor spinning and intordusing the situation at home and abord; seconde, analysing the structure of rotor spinning yarns; third, introdusing four multi-component yarns and discussing their performance; forth, mainly analysing the affect of deffrent length fibers to thep performance of the yarns; fifth, introducing the affct of drawing numbers to the yarn quality.Actual yarn count of the thanditional rotor spinning is low. And rotor spinning only can use cotton as material, and that will limit the application of rotor yarn. Therefore, it's necessary to develop other meterials. In order to expand the use of rotor spinning, and promote the rapid development of rotor spinning, multi-component rotor yarn has become a direction. This paper introduces four classes of multi-component rotor yarns, the process of the spinning and the performance of the yarns and analyses the strength, hairiness meter and irregularity test of the yarns.This paper discusses the performance of rotor yarn, including what affected by deffrent lengths of fibers and the numbers of drawing. If rotor speed gets fast, the yarn tension increases. If you want a better process of spinning, only reduce the diameter of the rotor. The diameter can't be too small because of the limit of the length of fibers. In this paper, we use six different lengths of rayon fibers to discuss the affect and analyse the strength, hairiness meter and irregularity test.Rotor spinning uses sliver inderect, this paper discusses the affct of the sliver to the performance of the yarn. The performance of the sliver relates to the drawing. Here we design four yarns, the card sliver, once drawing sliver, double drawing sliver and three drawing sliver. Analyse the strength, hairiness meter and irregularity test, and give the optimum conclusion.
