In recent years, due to the shortage of energy and the rising price of petroleumand coal, countries all over the world are looking for new, clean, economic alternativeenergy. Oil shale has broad application prospect because it is huge reserves of oilalternative resources. But the shale oil produced during exploitation and utilization ofoil shale will cause serious pollution to surrounding soil environment especially to thegroundwater, so as to cause harm to human health. So explore a remediationtechnology of groundwater of shale oil pollution is necessary. In this paper, firstly, hydrocarbon degradation bacteria which screened fromlaboratory were used to research the degradation characteristics of shale oil andoptimized degradation conditions through the shale oil initial concentration, inoculation amount, pH value, auxiliary nitrogen and auxiliary source of phosphorus:at the condition of low temperature (10℃) and shaking speed of120r/min,when theinitial concentration of200mg/L, the optimum condition of the strains using the shaleoil in groundwater was at pH7-8, for inoculation of5mL, used ammoniumchloride(0.01%) as the best nitrogen source and potassium sulfate(0.01%) as the bestsource of phosphorus. After4days at the optimum condition the concentration ofshale oil could reduce from200mg/L to33.94mg/L. By the strains the degradationrate of the shale oil and COD was83.03%and67.58%, respectively.Experiment next utilized optimizational optimal degradation conditions and usedthe groundwater of shale oil pollution to study on indoor simulation biowall, usingactivated carbon as the filling medium and the carrier of the microbial. When the inletwater concentration of shale oil was15±0.5mg/L,simulation trough run for90days,the shale oil concentration of outlet increased at the initial stage, reached thehighest at thirty-seventh days (0.17mg/L), and then decreased, the inlet waterconcentration of shale oil stabilized. The simulated system had good effect ofremediation on groundwater which polluted by shale oil during exploitation and utilization of oil shale, the removal rate of shale oil was99.6%.
