Stability of surrounding rock has been occupying an important position in geotechnical engineering, it has great significance for the protection of construction safety. This paper takes Sanshan Island gold shaft for the research examples, and takes the stability of surrounding rock during deep shaft excavating as the main object of study. In order to analyse the impact of deep shaft excavating on the stability of surrounding rock in different depths, a numerical simulation on two kilometers deep shaft excavation is made with ANSYS.Firstly, the stress and the destructing distribution in surrounding rock are analyzed, then the shaft supporting structure according to the analysis results is designed. Finally, a numerical simulation is made on the stability of surrounding rock of Sanshan Island,two kilometers super deep gold mine shaft. Drucker-Prager ideal elastic-plastic stress-stain model is adopted as rock model with the finite element software ANSYS. Three-dimensional brick8node45solid element is adopted as the element. Respectively, numerical simulation on the deep shaft excavating are made in nine conditions which have three different diameters and three different surrounding rock classification.According to the results of numerical simulation and the analysis on rationality and security of the design support, a reasonable supporting proposal and reasonable excavation methods are made. Numerical simulation results show that the design of support structure of Sanshan Island gold shaft is reasonable and the surrounding rock of the deep shaft is stable.
